Cafe Donndorf in Weimar

Nice café, delicious breakfast ... unfortunately not open to visit due to the current situation, but we are really looking forward to being able to enjoy a delicious coffee there soon :)

I am a little surprised at the very positive reviews. My breakfast experience was a 3 in school grades. Inattentive service. The quality of the food was mediocre. A lot of unusual "creations" but just doing things differently without doing them well is not quality. I was there with nice company ... that saved the situation, so 2 stars even if it has nothing to do with the quality of the restaurant :-)

Good food but very slow

I can't understand the many good reviews. The staff is very nice but otherwise it is nothing special. The food lasts forever, the prices are juicy and the portions are small. The tables outside, despite 10 am, lovelessly without flowers and seats, are not particularly comfortable. I would like more attention to be paid to it. The store has potential but we don't give it a second visit.

Delicious coffee and nice, if a little slow service. Unfortunately, the lunch portion of the rice dish was very clear - a little more than a starter size - and the bread under the grilled vegetables was soft and not tasty at all. The price-performance ratio really didn't seem appropriate. Pity! Next time, I'd rather have cake ...

Great location, excellent kitchens, very good service

The cake was delicious, for my taste the cake selection could be supplemented by a less creamy cake. The cappuccino is tasty too, but relatively small. Delicious hot chocolate

This cafe is unique! Both from the friendliest staff as well as from the great dishes !!!!!! Like a big family. You immediately feel comfortable. A visit is a must !!!!!!!

Nice ambience - careless service staff - coffee came well before the cake, we would have enjoyed it together - inflated prices.

Very well attended small café - make sure to reserve beforehand !!! The cakes and cakes are all very appealing and have always tasted super delicious - everything fresh! There is also a small corner with edible souvenirs. Great idea.

Wonderfully furnished café with very friendly service. Many organic teas and delicious breakfast can be enjoyed here. The homemade cakes are very tasty and differ significantly from the usual sheet cakes, in terms of quality and taste. My favorite cafe in Weimar.

Good coffee.

The food was great and very lovingly presented. The waitress nice. We were greeted with hello, but then left a little lost. A short conversation about whether a table is or will be available and then it goes to us would have been good. Then we had to ask that the table be wiped. And my second cappuccino was unfortunately cold, because the cold milk foam probably shock-frozen it. Prices are not cheap, not expensive, that's okay because the food is of high quality. 0.50 € surcharge for plant milk does not have to be, I think, but okay. Overall I would go there again.

Deliciously delicious, totally friendly service and great atmosphere. But - fast food is elsewhere. Here is freshly cooked, that's delicious, it wants to have enough time. Will definitely come back!

Really good cakes!

When we were here for breakfast, there were relatively few guests. Accordingly, we were served quickly and the waiting time for our meals was also quite short. The food tasted very good and the price-performance ratio, both in terms of quantity and quality, was extremely good. The conditions were friendly and the sanitary facilities were very clean. We will definitely be happy to come back again.

A wonderful not too small cafe in downtown Weimar. There are wonderful home-baked cakes, as well as home-made soft drinks. The staff is over friendly. I really like the decor. See you soon again
